Project Summary
Danske Bank embarked on a fit-out project to transform their CEO's executive office, PA's adjoining office, boardroom, executive waiting lounge, executive lounge, and Café 1824 into modern, welcoming spaces that align with the bank's commitment to environmental sustainability. The project aimed to create functional and aesthetically pleasing areas to accommodate client meetings, staff interactions, and media engagements.
Executive Office + PA Office: The current CEO desired a more inviting office environment. To achieve this, the project involved sourcing environmentally responsible materials and products, including recyclable carpets, locally made low-carbon footprint furniture, and LED lighting upgrades. Biophilic self-watering living walls and energy-efficient LED backlit signage were also incorporated.
Boardroom and Executive Waiting Lounge: Maximising natural light was a priority in the dated boardroom. An internal wall was removed to capture additional space and an external window. The extended boardroom features a 20-person table, bespoke banquet seating, AV presentation wall, and LED-lit display table. Acoustic ceiling tiles, recycled acoustic shades, and low-energy LED lighting were installed. New door sets and glazed screens enhance natural light in the executive waiting lounge.
Executive Lounge: The executive lounge features bespoke cloak storage, an AV screen, individual lounge chairs, occasional coffee tables, and environmentally responsible materials. A striking acoustic pendant light with a pop of colour serves as a centrepiece, contributing to the space's ambiance.
Café 1824: Designed for staff breaks and informal meetings, Café 1824 incorporates natural finishes and a soft colour palette. Alpha designed the servery, mechanising display units, and recycling units. The space offers a variety of seating options, including lounge, café, and banquet seating, all in line with Danske Bank's commitment to sustainability.
