The brief of this project was to supply new furniture for 2 different areas within the campus – namely the Entrance Foyer and the library. The furniture chosen for each of the areas had a very different requirement as in the library we focused on high back acoustic pods for quiet study and more relaxed informal seating areas, were as in the mall the requirements were based high back modular soft seating to create ‘islands’ and modern style café style break out areas to encourage the students to socialise. Although the time scale for this project was challenging the feed back from the staff has been extremely positive from both students and staff and the students are utilising all of the areas and are enjoying their student experience.
